Gambling involves financial risk. No strategy guarantees a win. You are likely to lose money over time. 18+ where applicable, or older where your law says so.
Keep it in check
- Do not treat gambling as income, even if a site calls an app an “earning app”.
- Set a spending limit and a time limit before you start, and stick to them.
- Only use money you can afford to lose. Never use rent, bills, savings or borrowed money.
- Never chase losses. Stop for the day when you reach your limit.
- Take regular breaks, and do not gamble when tired, upset or drinking.
- Follow the laws where you live. Online gambling is banned or restricted in many places.
Warning signs
- Spending more money or time than you planned.
- Thinking about gambling most of the day.
- Hiding it from family or friends, or lying about it.
- Borrowing, selling things or missing bills to gamble.
- Gambling to win back losses, or to escape stress or low mood.
- Feeling restless or irritable when you try to stop.
- Gambling is affecting your sleep, work, studies or relationships.
If several of these sound familiar, take a break now and talk to someone you trust.
